The entry will be opened from 8th August 2005 till 30th September 2005. The entry from is available to be download online. Check out the regulations of entry and get your masterpieces ready.
The winners will be announced during the 10th MVA Award Night on 26th November 2005). The list of winners will be uploaded online on 27th November 2005. The Gold Award winners will receive a Trophy and certificate while the Silver and Bronze winners will receive a certificate from Malaysian Video Awards Festival.
The MVA website is a showcase of Malaysian creativity and film culture. The MVA Channel is a new MVA online section this year. It will be a space for our young generations to have their work screened at no cost and gain comments from the professionals online. The MVA Channel will run officially from December 2005 and will be running through out the years. Check it out, send your masterpieces for the online screening and gain commitments from the professionals! For further information you are always welcome to email us.
The MVA website has also developed into a resource directories for Malaysians and international 'surfers' to understand the Malaysian film and video production industry in more depth. The website is also a human resource centre; employers seeking professional talents and talents seeking opportunities, gainin software updates, use the site to network and exchange resumes, ideas and contacts. A forum is included in order to create an outlet for the industry to share their knowledge. It will also be a place for discussion and problem solving in the film and animation industry. Check it out, join the MVA Forum and say your piece!
The MVA Council, while continuing its work to innovate and serve the industry, also seeks Sponsorship support from local and regional industry players to help create opportunities for young filmmakers here in Malaysia. Grants, subsidies and potential growth opportunities will encourage the young to pursue their dreams and to contribute to the country's standing as a regional creative hub. Sponsorship of the MVA Festival components and its on-going programmes are welcome.

The seven broad categories that will be contested are “Professional Craft”, “Experimental Video”, “Short Film”, “Music Video”, “ASEAN Crafts”, “TV”, and “Best of MVA”. The 10th MVA 2005 is offering a total of thirty award categories. “Best ASEAN Short Animated Film (above 35 minutes)” and “Best ASEAN short Animated Film (below 35 minutes)” are the new categories for this year.
